Conventions, general or targeted?

This week we will be talking about conventions, which are the best, the conventions where we talk about everything and bump into Rodians, klingons and pikachus? or the conventions where we only cross paths with Jedis, Dark lords and troopers?.

With the upcoming Star Wars Celebration IV, one must wonder why over 30000 fans will be moving to L.A. for about a week.And yet about just as many fans from different fandoms attend the popular Comic-Con, Fan Expo and Gen Cons.

Conventions began many years ago and have now evolved into a yearly business for some, but a reason to gather for others.
